Creative Engineering Consultants is a leading firm dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in civil engineering. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) / Team Leader for major road projects.
Responsibilities
As the CRE / Team Leader, you will hold overall responsibility for the organization, conduct, and delivery of consultancy services, reporting directly to the client. Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Assisting the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in project execution.
- Leading the consulting team and ensuring performance under the consultancy contract.
- Overseeing comprehensive reviews of designs and specifications prepared by design consultants.
- Supervising construction and contract administration of civil works.
- Ensuring compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
- Preparing detailed progress reports to support contractor payment requests.
- Keeping the Employer informed about technical issues and project progress through meetings and correspondence.
- Participating in Dispute Board meetings to address issues from the Contractor/Employer.
- Implementing environmental and social safeguards.
- Assisting the Employer in responding to audit objections and queries from financiers or government authorities.
- Coordinating with all relevant Employer organizations regarding project issues.
- Guiding the team in preparing a comprehensive Construction Completion Report, including “as-built” drawings.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 15 years of international experience as a Chief Resident Engineer.
- At least 10 years of international experience as a Team Leader (outside Pakistan ) on major road projects in North America, Europe, Africa or far east.
